Often described as the "Champagne of Teas" due to its exclusivity. Darjeeling First Flush is made up of the first picking of the first leaves of the Sungma Estate. Providing a delicate and fresh flavour with a sophisticated floral aroma, this tea has truly established its prized place in the tea market - and with good reason.
This is currently our only Darjeeling 1st Flush we have on hand, it is from 2023/2024 pick year, but has been stored appropriately to maintain that high quality flavour that First Flush holds.
Nestled in the interiors of Assam and Chapanala Valley along the Karbi Anglong, the estates sprawling acres of tea landscape has the perfectly balanced micro-climate coupled with nutrient-rich topsoil run from the Brahmaputra.
Crisp, garden-fresh tea shrubs are carefully watched at the dawn of each season. At Elysian, the whole leaf green tea is non-fermented and harvested at an elevation above sea level, and is skillfully handpicked by select locals during the early harvest of Spring until November, while the leaves still carry high amounts of catechins and L-theanine stimulant for soothing effect.

Growing tea from the mid-19th century, Kangra Valley of the Gods in the north-western borderlands, only 100 kilometers from Pakistan, Kangra has a shorter growing season than most Indian plantations.
1000 meters above sea level and plenty of rainfall, the Kangra tea bushes produce a Darjeeling style brew with appealing flavour and delicate aroma.
With such a limited crop we are proud to say that we have managed to import a small parcel of a fantastic rare and somewhat overlooked Indian Tea.
